  5. RUD (Reflection, Understanding, Doing -

Why Tens of Thousands of Years of Evolution Made You Anxious: The Collision Between a 5,000-Year-Old Comet and Modern Science

We oppose a life that is contrary to itself, yet we cannot face anxiety and friction in our office chairs. Modern man lives in an era of a wealthy minority more than ever before, yet paradoxically, mental illness follows only a minority. Why do we make ourselves anxious? That worker is a history of transformations of life spanning 4 billion years, and because we can hear each other, it is part of a 'survival activity.'

We do not exist to make things simple. The strange exists and preserves the ecosystem by 'connecting' and 'combining.' However, while we were fluid from the age of charging and gathering to the age of the maiko, our crested cradle was most troublesome between the Paleolithic chair and the peace of modern times. Now, through the encounter between the 5,000-year-old Korean Zen practice of a king and Nobel Prize-winning modern science such as Ilya Prigogine and Andrew Newberg, we may seek to explore a path to unite the wars of our minds and strive for symbiosis.

1. The Paradox of Evolution: The 'Dichotomous Counter' Hidden in Your Brain

Why do we now recruit allies, remain wary of our neighbors, and get stressed over trivial matters by dividing people into 'my side' and 'your side'? Andrew Newberg's neuroscience research has revealed that specific structures in our brain function as a **'Dichotomous Counter' (Dichotomous Operator)**, perceiving the world by dividing it into concepts responsible for it.

In the past, humanity had to understand 'friend and foe,' 'safety and danger,' and 'life and death' within 0.1 seconds to survive. This was because failing to quickly determine whether a movement in the forest belonged to a leopard would have led to imminent death. However, this 'Dichotomous Counter' signifies the sense of exclusion and anxiety caused by modern complex human relationships and external logic regarding information.

"The brain's dichotomous opposition is diminished by the most complex relationships of time and space, even in cases such as up-down, inside-out, wedge-up, and front-back. While this function helps us understand the memorial world, it similarly becomes the cause of problems arising from our lack of reference."

Ultimately, your anxiety is not a personal defect, but the result of the brain's 'ancient reflexes,' optimized for preservation, harmonizing with the peculiarities of modern society.

2. A New Task That Creates Waste: Prigogine's 'Dissipative Structures'

Then, should we remain trapped in anxious circuits? Ilya Prigogine presented a unique insight called **'Self-organization'** through the 1977 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He referred to the dynamic structure of the universe, including genius, as **'Dissipative Structures'**.

Welcome to Prigogine; I celebrate not with a state of complete satisfaction, but with 'imbalance' and 'fluctuation.' Just as disordered engineers suddenly form a hectare-sized honeycomb pattern (Bénard convection) to appear as if they are sharing water, life also organizes itself through energy exchange with the external environment.

This is the core of this post: **'Process-Structure'**. Existence is not fixed but is the subject of a 'process' that constantly exists and acts. Instead of being a fixated companion to anxious emotions, one can rejoice as a minority of fluctuating energy capable of lifting one's spirits for new improvements.

3. The Truth of Survival of the Fittest: 'The Best Combiners' Are Predicted

We often understand evolution solely as 'survival of the fittest' or 'competition.' However, Lynn Margulis's **'Endosymbiosis'** proves that Lynn's soccer leaps exist through 'combination.' In particular, the amoeba-bacteria experiments conducted by Dr. Kwang-Woo Jeon of Korea add further crucial remote points to this theory.

Dr. Jeon recorded an important note regarding amoebas. Initially, while most amoebas did not, a small number of them possessed suitable members inside their cells. Surprisingly, over time, this activity transformed into an 'essential organ' that could be effective for the amoeba's survival.

Participation in Evolution: The 'fittest' in soccer is not the strongest, but rather an entity that willingly engages with others to find a path of symbiosis.

Evidence of Symbiosis: Apart from the mitochondria in our bodies, clusters were chosen, but humanity had more energy sources to replace symbiosis. Every cell in our body is already, as its subject, a 'history of symbiosis.'

4. Indra's Net and Bootstrap: The Universe is a 'Relational Existence'

2,600 years ago, Himalayan activists expounded on the **'Indra's Net'**, stating that the universe is interwoven with jewels reflecting one another. This aligns selectively with the System Panel's **'Bootstrap Biology'**. The fundamentalist, Geoffrey Chew, asserts that we do not exist independently of one another, but rather exist within relationships where we generate and sustain one another.

The Universe Within a Sheet of Paper: As Thich Nhat Hanh observed, a single sheet of paper contains not only the tree, but also the rain, the clouds, Wednesday, and the very entire universe of the person who made it. None of these elements can exist without the paper.

The Dialogue of Relationships: Like the poetic reflection, "The moment I see the starlight, my heart becomes the starlight," we are not cottonized islands. We are 'process-structures' existing within the narrative of relationships through mutual cooperation.

**Dialogue of Relationships:** 5. The Technique to 'Format' Clean: 'FAWARUD' Working in Daily Life

The most scientific method to rewire the dichotomous, anxious circuits imprinted by evolution is meditation. Professor Herbert Benson of the discussion focused on the universally relatable **'relaxation response'** and 'breakout' climate. fMRI scans revealed that deep meditation limits the **'will for self-transcendence'**, which breaks down the boundaries between 'enemy and self' through the higher use of the self.

The practical tool proposed by Source is **'FAWARUD'**. It is a technique that recycles stress into energy for new insights, rather than simply enduring it.

Follow: It is as simple as setting a conclusion and sharing your breath.

Attention: Focus on the object and take an energy stance.

Vigilance (Watching): Observe the arising and disappearing of emotions with the mind's eye.

Awareness (Mindfulness): Recognize the non-dualistic perception of existence, transcending dichotomous perception.

RUD (Reflection, Understanding, Doing): By reflecting and understanding, you come to live your life.

This process is the most active form of 'self-care'—keeping the computer 'formatted' by a virus, saving the entrenched stress circuits of the clean, and keeping the party.

Conclusion: You cannot stop the dissenter, but you can learn to surf.

We are the product of 4 billion years of evolution, and a 'process' speaking even at this very moment. The anxiety you feel is proof of being alive, Prigogine's 'fluctuation' for new improvement.

Now, ask yourself: "Are you racing the world for the enemy and military vehicles, or are you racing for public vehicles and selectors for connectivity?" We are hosts who have already achieved success in symbiosis at the cellular level. We cannot stop the anxiety and pain that come from the sea called life. However, we can learn how to surf beyond the aliens.

"You cannot stop the waves, but you can learn to surf."

With this final piece, at the moment the long time of today begins, your form has already begun. You seem to be fluidly active.
